Reich Paper has announced that they are transitioning their entire product offering to FSC-Certified. The move has been made over the last few months as new certified product has been manufactured. Reich, a family-owned company in business since 1958, offers unique specialty paper products available exclusively in North America. Included among their lines are CT (a translucent paper free of resins and chemical additives that make some other translucents brittle and hard to fold)...SHINE (a luminous paper line that brings a subtle shimmer to every design)...and ODEON (a genuine felt-finish paper manufactured in a heavy card stock and available in contemporary colors). New swatchbooks indicating Reich's new FSC status are now available.
Sappi Introduces Tempo
Sappi understands that time is money and their response is Tempo. A new concept in coated fine paper that redefines all expectations for improving efficiency and providing material savings for commercial sheet-fed printers. Because of the innovative coating technology, Tempo delivers unrivaled fast ink setting and ink drying properties. All of which leads to greater speed, increased productivity and improved margins.
Tempo is the fastest drying coated free sheet in the North American market. A two-sided printed sheet is ready for the bindery twice as fast as standard coated paper. Additionally, Tempo's high fiber content provides dimensional stability for superior press performance and its unique coated formulation delivers consistency across all basis weights and finishes.
Olmsted-Kirk offers Tempo, which features an 88 brightness, in both gloss and matte in 70, 80 and 100# text and 80# cover. Samples are available through the O-K sample department.
French Offers Lemonade, Hot Fudge and Whip Cream
French Paper Company has taken five of the most popular colors from their Poptone line and added them to their heavy-weight grade Muscletone.
Sweet Tooth, Whip Cream, Sno Cone, Pink Lemonade and Hot Fudge join with four colors from the Speckletone line and Pure White from the Construction line to comprise the revamped Muscletone, a 140-pound cover sheet which is built for silkscreen, letterpress or flexo printing.
Owned and operated by the French family for over 134 years, French Paper is known as the country's smallest and most innovative, independent paper mill. Olmsted-Kirk is proud to offer all of French Paper's text and cover lines including Parchtone, Modtone and Specklteone.
The New Royals Are Here
Wausau Paper is redefining their traditional line of Royal fine paper grades. The new items will have a more earthy appeal, more neutrals, more textures and an expanded selection of weights. Royal Complements, Cotton, Fiber, Laid, Linen and Marble have all been refreshed while Royal SilkPlus has been rebranded Royal Resource and is an environmentally preferable brand comprised of smooth white, natural browns and greens in three finishes, smooth, vellum and bark.
Now, almost every color in each Royal grade contains a minimum of 30% recycled post-consumer fiber as well as FSC and Green Seal certifications. There is also a 100% recycled post-consumer fiber, high-brightness sheet that has been added to the Royal Resource line.
All the exciting changes to the Wausau's Royal grades are now available.
Olmsted-Kirk Named Exclusive Distributor of Productolith
Olmsted-Kirk Paper Company is proud to be the exclusive distributor of sheetfed Productolith in the state of Texas. Productolith is a 91-brightness sheet which features 10% post-consumer waste, is Tri-Certified by the FSC, SFI and PEFC and has long been considered the standard by which #2 coated papers are measured.
We'll also continue to provide NewPage Corporation's other fine lines of coated paper. These include sheetfed grades Centura, Fortune and Gusto and web grades such as Centura, Productolith, Arbor and Orion among others. NewPage is known for manufacturing many of the most respected and specified brands in the country.

OLMSTED-KIRK NOW HAS FORMER FOX RIVER AND GILBERT LINES
The big news last spring was Neenah Paper's acquisition of Fox River Paper. The big news now is that Olmsted-Kirk is offering the full line of text and cover grades from Neenah, Fox River and Gilbert.
Neenah, already an industry leader in text and cover with lines such as Classic Crest, Classic Laid, Classic Linen and Environment, has now expanded their offering to include such market leading brands as Starwhite, Coronado, Sundance, Esse and Oxford.
Also included in the purchase were such strong writing paper brands as Neutech, Capitol Bond, Gilcrest and Fox River Select. There are also such diverse specialty-type text sheets as Voice, Gainsborough, Teton and Crushed Leaf.
As a leading distributor of Neenah products, Olmsted-Kirk is proud to offer all of these lines to our customers. We will be actively stocking the Starwhite, Coronado, Esse, Oxford, Howard Linen and Capitol Bond lines.

Sappi Fine Paper revamps product offering
Over the next few months, Sappi Fine Paper will be making significant changes to their product lines. Those changes will begin with the FSC certification of several lines including McCoy, Lustro, Opus and HannoArt.
There will also be the introduction of an exciting new economical sheet called Flo. Available in dull, gloss and matte finishes, Flo will be an alternative to the Somerset grade which will now be manufactured solely in web format.
Other changes include the discontinuation of some weights in the Lustro Dull Cream and Aero lines as well as the total elimination of the Belgrade web and Lustro Patina lines.

OK Paper is Now FSC Certified
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organization that brings people together to find solutions which promote responsible stewardship of the world’s forests. Its trademark provides international recognition to organizations who support the growth of responsible forest management.
Olmsted-Kirk is now FSC certified. That means we’ve made a commitment to the environment to responsibly handle FSC certified papers as part of what’s known as the Chain of Custody. These sheets are kept apart from papers harvested in uncertified forests as part of a plan to promote and protect the stewardship of forests around the world.
